7 Lady Vineyards Wine

I was born in a luxurious labyrinth of tunnels located 200 feet below sea level, heiress to the famed royalty, King Feteasca Alba and Queen Muscat. In my early years, I lay peacefully with my 2 million sisters, being rotated by hand daily to keep sediment from clogging my head. One day, in his thick Romanian accent, our leader tasked me with guiding a troop nearly 5000 miles across the sea to a land ruled by 7 ladies that they claim is for wine lovers. I am immediately welcomed and seem to be invited to every occasion that warrants a celebration, which always commences by knocking my hat off with a large celebratory pop. I am loved for my bubbly personality, radiant golden complexion, and green apple hazelnut perfume. I AM the 7LV Brut Reserve.

Brut Rosé
Moldova

Toast to eternal love with this sparkling marriage of Feteasca Alba and Merlot grapes. This delicate wine hails from the hidden gem of Moldova, the largest bubbles producer in the world! Glowing with the pink hue and gorgeous floral aroma that mirrors a blushing bride, it is no surprise that Richmond Bride voted this one of the best wines to serve at your wedding. Like newlyweds during their first dance, it twirls with notes of berry, balanced with a bright acidity, while hints of minerality and almond add a touch of sophistication. Pairs perfectly with . . . EVERYTHING.

Rosé 2022
Virginia

Imagine a slender magician wearing a pale salmon colored tuxedo, silver top hat, and strawberry scented cologne. On a warm Spring day, he strolls through the vineyard, juggling raspberries, cherries, and lemons, making crisp jokes with a dry sense of humor. For lunch, he requests a watermelon arugula salad garnished with the finest feta, followed by a grilled Scottish salmon filet. This wizard IS our 2022 Rose, produced by the celebrated winemakers at Horton Vineyards with exactly you in mind.

For a more adventurous crescendo, this wine is a seamless duet with spicy Asian or Indian food and potent cheeses such as bleu d’auvergne. The Governor’s Cup decorated it with a silver medal and we give it a standing ovation!

Summer Red 2022
Virginia

Dive into the warmer months with this Virginia blend of Merlot, Cab Franc, and Chardonnay, best served cold and waterside by the beautiful 7LV pond. While it may bring back memories of riding past the cherry orchard in that top down convertible, sipping on a chillable red, and listening to Steve Miller invent the “pompatus” of love, this wine brings a grown-up level of sophistication with notes of vanilla, toast, and cedar. Ride shotgun with our artisan charcuterie, ceviche, or beet and arugula salad.

Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Moldova

Our first international white wine is a product of the Codru region of Moldova, where the low hills, sunny plains, and moderate climate produce lovely, aromatic wines. Unlike New Zealand's grapefruit explosions, this Sauvignon Blanc boasts bright minerality, floral citrus, and a gentle acidity. It’s the perfect partner for an afternoon stroll and picnic in the vineyard with our compressed watermelon and arugula salad.

Pinot Grigio 2019
Moldova

Wandering through the orchard, you fill your basket with limes, lemons, green apples, and succulent white nectarines, while honeysuckle wafts in the air. The sun sparkles a happy yellow with a hint of green. Hailing from Moldova, this is the broad spectrum 7LV Pinot Grigio experience. Complement its bright acidity with our beet and arugula salad, garnished with goat cheese, citrus, and shaved radish.

Viognier 2022
Shenandoah Valley, Virginia

Award Winner

Upon the morning sunrise, I see a grand castle in the distance. It’s Dover Hall, the estate where I’m cultivated, and home to the most lavish celebrations. I’m harvested in late August by a hard-working group, self-proclaimed as “The Dream Team”. After I’m snipped off the branch, I’m swept away in a Ford Ram to Common Wealth Crush Co., where our Winemaker and mastermind, Ben Jordan, works his magic to create this Governor’s Cup bronze medal wine. When I finally landed in that sexy black bottle 8 months later, I have reached my full potential. On the nose, you’ll be transported to your childhood with the smell of honeysuckle. On the palate, you’ll be tickled with green apples, apricots, and bursts of bright citrus. Pair me with Chicken Tagine, a traditional Moroccan dish.

Albariño 2020
Virginia

Award Winner

Produced for 7LV by Horton Vineyards, this Governor’s Cup gold medal winner will instantly transport you to the sunny Portuguese countryside, where cool nights help to lock in its high acidity. Although this varietal was introduced to the Commonwealth almost three decades ago, Albariño has recently gained significant traction as Virginia’s leading white wine. Picture a twirling flamenco dancer in a yellow gown with green hints. She skips through the citrus carnival - lemon, lime, grapefruit – And the party’s on! Caitlin Horton describes this wine as “versatile and awesome”, and we couldn’t agree more. Light bodied, but balances our peppercorn-crusted cauliflower quite well, or simply enjoy it as an aperitif.

Malbec 2022
Mendoza, Argentina

Salsa into flavor town with the 7 Lady Vineyards Malbec! This spectacular wine is the result of a collaboration between a winemaker, viticulturist, and two proprietors – self-proclaimed as the four crazy cats. The grapes are sourced from their vineyard in Alto Gualtallary, the largest growing region in Argentina. At the base of the Andes Mountains, the warm, dry climate, limestone soil, and oodles of sunshine allow the fruit to thrive. Its intense ruby red color and sexy legs are the visual foreshadowing of a smooth, velvety taste bud tango of blackberry, plum, and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and ages well, but this superstar is ready to shine now.
